Capital and Coast 

The primary point of contact for services for older adults is Needs Assessment and Service Coordination (NASC). NASC services cover help to stay at home, support services for carers and entry into residential care. They can also link with other District Health Board (DHB) services and community based agencies.

Meals on wheels: Access to meals on wheels service requires referral by a GP or Needs Assessor. For existing clients wishing to cancel or place a temporary hold on meal delivery, phone 04 918 6014 and leave a message
District Nursing: The full service operates 8 am to 4.30 pm Monday – Friday, with reduced staffing in the evenings and weekends. An on-call service operates between 10 pm and 8 am.

Shuttle Services: DHB Shuttle service: this operates between Wellington and Kenepuru hospitals. Phone (04) 806-2708
  A Safe Kapiti (ASK) volunteer service: 04 297 3142 or info@ask.kiwi. Transport from Kapiti Coast to appointments at Wellington or Kenepuru hospitals.
  Transport for out-of-town patients: contact Patient Travel service, 04 806 0058. Clients must meet National Travel Assistance criteria
