Red Cross volunteer service: 0800 924 287, 06 377 3586 or wairarapa@redcross.org.nz, office hours are Monday to Friday, 9am to 3pm. The service offers free, volunteer transport to a range of medical appointments in the Wairarapa area. Transport also provided for outpatient trips to hospitals in Wellington, Hutt, Kenepuru and Palmerston North. Bookings are essential. The service cannot accommodate wheelchair users. Donations are appreciated. |
